Qualifications: - BS/BA in business administration, industrial engineering or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience. - 10 or more years experience managing business operations. - Knowledge of industrial engineering, human resources laws and regulations, and employee relations skills required as well as prior experience managing a distribution center. - Must be PC proficient and have the ability to present functional specifications to IS department. - Experience in working with manufacturing based technology preferred.
Job Purpose: - Oversees management of manufacturing plant to produce products in the most cost effective manner within quality standards. - Responsible for achieving optimum labor, and least amount of overhead and raw material costs. - Ensures inventory and shipping/receiving functions at manufacturing plant is operating at levels which meet customers needs and established financial benchmarks. - Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs which guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation. - Directs activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.
