As the Director of Research and Development you will be responsible for the overall function of the R & D department. You must be capable of planning and managing a variety of research projects at once. You must possess general business knowledge and be able to integrate the research you get into the business environment.

Responsibilities are but not limited to:
-Sets goals and objectives and determines the strategy for obtaining these goal for Research and Development Department
-Sets Priorities and decides which activities are done when, to achieve the goals and objectives, that are on time and in budget
-Assist in the development of high quality specifications for components and manufactured materials to support the manufacturing process.
-Recruits, selects, develops and promotes people to meet the goals and objectives for the quality assurance processes in compliance with all existing rules and regulations
-Compares actual performance to planned standards, takes corrective action when needed.

Qualifications:
-A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or related science
-Minimum of 10-15 years of progressively more responsible experience in an R & D environment
-Good written and verbal communication skills, familiarity with computers, strong organization skills, procedural training, analytical skills and ability to maintain confidentiality is a must.
-Demonstrate ability to teach good laboratory techniques.
