This role will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to plant purchasing and new product introduction operations.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the tactical day-to-day purchasing departments and direct the purchasing function in a proactive manner.
- Establish and manage a supply chain buying team leveraging best practices that will achieve organizational goals by managing and optimizing supplier performance.
- Manage Purchasing Supervisor at each location to meet and exceed company objectives.
- Interview, hire and train all direct reports.
- Develop strong working relationship with Strategic Sourcing Manager to align Supply Chain goals and objectives.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors or prospective vendors in order to enhance the performance and reputation of the company and to identify new sources of supply for purchased materials.
- Negotiate with and influence suppliers to improve timeliness of delivery, lead times, pricing, terms and service to ensure leanest total cost of ownership.

Requirements :
- 4 year degree (supply chain management, business or related field).
- expertise in multiple site global strategic purchasing and supply chain management
- 7+ years experience in purchasing/supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing global suppliers, reducing costs, controlling inventory, and standardizing supply chain policies and procedures.
